​​​​​​​​Ted Berkowitz - ​Ted is an amazing artist and friend whose sketches and oils of musicians and music related themes have grace galleries and shows in NY and around the lower Hudson Valley. You can usually find him sketching at any number of shows in the area.

 Julie Corbalis - Singer/songwriter extraordinaire, Julie can win over an audience before her first song is through. Equally powerful vocals and guitar chops, Julie's a regular on the tri-state, Hudson Valley circuit. She was the driving force behind the "Backwoods Jupiter" project, of which I am proud to have been a part. It was her inspiration to bring a dozen regional musicians together and record Bob Dylan's "Desire" album in its entirety. Her new CD is entitled "What's Up With This Heart?" During the day, Julie teaches middle school social studies. 

Buddy Coughlinaka: Pleasant Bud, Buddy is a mainstay on the local music scene, a multi-instrumentalist who writes his own songs and is a founding member of the Circle of Friends Coffee House in Pleasantville, NY. and a member of the bluegrass/Americana outfit, Nannyhagen Creek.

Eddie Denise - Eddie has several Gold Records on the wall in his home studio... I've seen them. He has played (and continues) to play bass with recording artists such as Dion, Jonathan Edwards, Arlen Roth, Ronnie Spector and Lou Christie. 'Nuff said. 

Deuces Child - is the duo of Gigi Tanglewood and Lou Patrick, two good friends whose vocal harmonies and guitar virtuosity are equally impressive. Beatles fans will also be impressed by Lou's vast knowledge of the Beatles songbook and Fab Four folklore.

George GiererGeorge is one half of the musical enterprise Pluck and Rail, a duo with Andrew Sussman on cello and George on banjo. Incongruous? They make it work. During the day, George is a high school science teacher.

Fred Gillen Jr. - Fred is the Poet Laureate of Westchester County. He  is a singer, a songwriter, a producer, a teller of tales and a good friend. He recorded, mixed and produced my first CD "The Whirligig of Time." His new CD "Wage Love" is pure Americana.

Leo HarmonayNew found friend Leo is another talented singer/songwriter whose new CD of original songs is entitled "Somewhere Over the Hudson." Solid guitar style and a killer with a blues harp.

Tom Heaney - Tom is a songwriter, guitarist and author who hails from Tarrytown, NY. His new CD "Reservoir" is an impressive collection of story songs about love, murder, crazy uncles, giant armless statues and swimming naked in the reservoir. He's a literate wordsmith with some pretty advanced guitar chops. 

Scoot HortonScoot comes from a heavy metal background, but he traded that in for an acoustic guitar with a skull and crossbones sensibility. His new CD is entitled "627."

Karen Hudson- New friend Karen Hudson is a singer/songwriter from NYC who also fronts her own band, The Karen Hudson River Band. She also is a graphic designer and videographer who lists many regional artists as clients.

Susan Kane - Susan is a singer/songwriter in the Lower Hudson Valley whose latest CD "Word Child" is in the best folk tradition with both a literate and literary sensibility.

Steve Kirkman​Steve is a Hudson Valley musician with deep roots in the South of rural North Carolina where he was born and raised. Nowadays, he does session work, guitar repairs and is one half of the duo Alectro along with bassist extraordinaire Jeff Eyrich. Duane Eddy with a spaghetti-Western soundtracks. Their new CD is "School of Desire."

John Kramer - John plays a mean guitar but his true metier is photography. His website Kramer's Camera Concepts reveals his talent for color, composition and detail. Avid music fan and guitar aficianado himself, John can be seen at many area concerts, camera in hand. Many of the photos on my site here are John's. 

Pluck and Rail George Gierer and Andy Sussman make up the musical duo of Pluck and Rail. Banjo and cello, respectively; incongruous, you'd think, but they make it work. Pure Americana; love songs and murder ballads

Eric Puente - Eric is one of the best percussionists around: Jazz, rock, classical, Latin, you name it and Eric can  play it with elan and taste. until recently, he manned the drum kit for The Slambovian Circus of Dream (see below) but has been playing with several jazz outfits lately.

River Spirit Music - is a house concert series run by impressario Peter Shafran in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. Peter has brought recording artists from all over the map to this warm, intimate spot in the Hudson Valley. As the concept of House Concerts continues to grow, River Spirit Music is at the forefront of making this a rewarding experience for artists and audience alike.

The Slambovian Cirus of Dreams - (aka: The Grand Slambovians) One of my favorite Bands in the whole wide world, The Slambovians tour the U.S. and the U.K. and are headquartered right up the Hudson River a bit in Cold Spring, NY. I'll drive anywhere within a hundred miles to see them play. Described by one reviewer as "hillbilly-Pink Floyd," they are a crazy, wonderful outfit with an astounding original sound. Check 'em out.

Starving Artist Cafe' Elliot and Monica Glick's cafe' on City Island in the Bronx, this is little gem of a cafe', music venue, and art gallery has great food, live music every week and local art on the walls. 

Tribes Hill - is a musical consortium of professional musicians, weekend troubadours, music fans and lovers of live acoustic music. We have monthly gatherings, a summer picnic/hootenany as well as sponsoring various concert venues throughout the year.

Matt Turkis a multi-instrumentalist, recording artist, teacher, touring musician and peace-loving idealist whose latest work can be heard on his new CD "Cold Revival," which he recorded in Los Angeles; it's been getting national airplay and got a glowing review in Guitar Player Magazine. 

Scott Urgola - is a singer/songwriter whose work reminds me of Steve Earle: poignant songs of love and loss leavened with social justice, but his influences are Woody Guthrie, John Lennon, Tom Waits, Joe Strummer and Dan Bern. 

The YaYa's​are the husband and wife team of Jay Mafale and Catherine Miles and sometimes, keyboard wiz Paul Silverman. Their original, upbeat songs mix engaging harmonies with subtle, skillful arrangements. Recently, they have teamed up with singer/songwriters Carolann Solebello and Karyn Oliver and tour as " No Fuss and Feathers "
